WBA world rated #10 Andrew Moloney came up against his hardest opponent to date to win a TKO in the 4th round. Raymond Tabugon from the Philippines certainly didn’t come to Melbourne for the fine dining and sight seeing as he troubled the champ right from round 1. Round 2 Moloney had claret coming out of his nose and in round 3 was knocked down for the 1st time in his 14 fight career. Shrugging it off and listening to his experienced cornerman Angelo Hyder and Tony Nobbs, he came out swinging had staggered the Philippino a few times which to those who witnessed it can lay claim to the “round of the year”. Referee Ignatius Missalidis wisely called a halt to the proceedings to give the “Monster” Moloney his 9th and most rewarding KO of his career.
