As the most representative organization of Professional Boxing, where the right application of the fundamental principles of ethics, moral, loyalty, honesty and good faith can be found, considered as the main values, which orientates all legitimate activity of the Professional Boxing Worldwide.
The mission of the World Boxing Association Oceania Region is to develop and support professional boxing throughout Oceania by promoting safe, fair, and competitive championship opportunities for boxers, applying WBA standards with consistency and integrity, and working with local boxing authorities, promoters, officials, trainers, and athletes to strengthen the sport across the region.
WBA Oceania is committed to supporting boxers, both male and female, by encouraging regional development, maintaining credible championships and ratings, and providing a clear pathway for qualified boxers to progress from regional competition toward WBA world-level opportunities

WBA Oceania Honorary President
Mr.Gilberto Mendoza
Gilberto Mendoza served as President of the World Boxing Association (WBA), the oldest of the four major boxing organisations.
He served from 1982 till stepping down in December 2015 (33yrs) and was the driving force behind KO Drugs, a program aimed at educating youth away from drugs through lectures and sporting events around the world.
He continued as President Emeritus until his death.

Inaugural WBA Oceania President
Mr.Francisco Martinez
Francisco Martinez was the inaugural WBA Oceania President from 2014 till October 2022.
A very knowledgeable person who lived and breathed boxing, he believed in the regional development of puglisim and was the driving force who gave Oceania fighters their world title opportunities.

Current WBA Oceania President
Mr.Ferlin Marsh
Helped establish the WBA Oceania as its inaugural Ratings Chairman and Treasurer.
With the untimely passing of Francisco, Ferlin now has moved into the President’s role to keep the vision of being the no.1 regional boxing body in the Oceania region.
