New female flyweight champion crowned

Joondalup - Perth, Australia on Sept 7th saw the reign of WBA Oceania female Flyweight champion Louisa Ruiz Corredor (7-1) and WBA rated #1 fighter change hands to local girl Louisa "Bang Bang" Hawton (11-2). The fight started hard and fast with both girls trying to show their dominance. The deciding round came early in round 2 with the champion knocked down and fought bravely to recover. From there on the challenger was too slick and more precise with her accurate punching. Hawton, a former WBC 105lb world champion and WBO Light Flyweight champion showed her class to win 94-95 (x2) and 92-97.
