New Female Middleweight Champion Crowned

 Feb 3rd - 2024Elle Coulson (UK) captured the World Boxing Association (WBA) Oceania middleweight belt with a unanimous decision over Jamie Edenden (AUS) last Saturday at the Shirebrook Leisure Centre, Mansfield, in the United Kingdom. 
Coulson, after a dominant performance won on cards of 99-91, 99-91 and 98-92 to win the regional belt of the pioneering body and take a big leap in her career. 
The home fighter had to work hard to counter an insistent opponent like Edenden, however, she proved she was ready for this kind of challenge and was able to outbox her in almost every round. 
This victory puts Coulson in a great position to continue to move up in her professional career and moves her closer to great opportunities in world boxing.

Vivianna Ruiz Corredor has a tough assignment in her 1st defense of her WBA Oceania Flyweight title. Up against seasoned pro Phannaluk Kongsang (12-12-1), she will be on massive fight card along with hundreds of pro Thai supporters at the Spaceplus Club in Bangkok. To make matters worse, Kongsang is a late replacement as her original opponent pulled out 2 weeks ago. Both fighters came in under weight with the champ 50.7kgs and the challenger 50.3kgs. This will be a test for the world rated #3 champion as Kongsang is more experienced and hungry to put on a good show in her hometown.

2024 kicks off on Feb 3rd in England for the WBA Oceania with local girl Elle Coulson (13-1-1) fighting Australian Jamie Edenden (2-3) for the Middleweight title vacated by former champion Desley Robinson.Edenden is a last minute replacement as 2 former opponents unexpectedly pulled out thus giving Jamie this overseas assignment.The local girl is here to make a statement in her home town of Worksop and announce herself on the world stage.Edenden being a MMA fighter also will pull all her tricks out of her bag to bring the title back to Oceania.This will be an intriguing fight.
